Kiwi Kiwi Account Deletion Policy
Effective Date: June 15, 2026
This policy explains what account deletion means for Kiwi Kiwi.
1. Deletion is different from uninstalling or signing out
Uninstalling the app, deleting the app from your device, disabling notifications, or signing out does not delete your Kiwi Kiwi account.
To delete your account, use the in-app deletion flow, or contact support through the app or Kiwi Kiwi website if that flow is unavailable.
2. Before you delete
Deleting your account may permanently affect:
- Your profile.
- Your photos and profile media.
- Your tokens and token history.
- Your saves.
- Your sent, received, missed, and matched token history.
- Your matches and chats.
- Your private notes.
- Your Block Contacts list.
- Your Photo Verification status.
- Your push/device registrations.
- Your account settings.
- Your ability to restore account history.
You may lose access to unused tokens or other digital items unless a refund or restoration is required by law or app-store policy.
3. What happens after deletion
After you delete your account, Kiwi Kiwi will generally:
- Remove or deactivate your account from normal member-facing use.
- Stop showing your profile in Search and new dating surfaces.
- Disable normal login/use for the deleted account.
- Remove or deactivate push/device registrations where practical.
- Delete or detach data that is no longer needed, according to our retention schedule.
Some effects may take time due to backups, caches, app-store records, support queues, moderation review, safety processes, or technical systems.
4. Information we may retain
Kiwi Kiwi may retain information after account deletion when necessary or allowed for:
- Legal compliance.
- Tax, accounting, and app-store purchase records.
- Refunds, chargebacks, purchase reconciliation, and fraud prevention.
- Safety, reports, blocks, moderation evidence, and enforcement.
- Prevention of ban evasion, harassment, abuse, scams, or child-safety violations.
- Dispute resolution and legal claims.
- Security and integrity.
- Backups and disaster recovery.
- Records that belong to or affect other members, such as their messages, reports, notes, or safety records.
Private notes you wrote about others are handled as your private journal data. Private notes written by others about you are not your account data in the same way, because they are the note owner’s private journal data.
5. Matches and messages
Deleting your account may remove your profile from active dating surfaces and may close or alter match/chat access. Some message, match, report, snapshot, or safety records may remain for the other participant, moderation, legal, safety, or dispute purposes.
Other members may see account-removed, unavailable, or similar labels where needed to explain changes to existing match, chat, report, or history surfaces without exposing private deletion details.
6. Tokens and purchases
Account deletion does not automatically create a refund. Apple or Google may control refunds for in-app purchases. See the Token Purchase Terms.
Unused tokens, sent tokens, admin credits, and other digital items may be removed, disabled, or become unavailable after deletion unless law or app-store policy requires otherwise.
7. Photo Verification and face processing
Deleting your account may remove public Photo Verified status from normal member-facing surfaces. Some verification, face-processing, safety, fraud, or related processing records may be retained for a period allowed by law and our retention practices.
8. Request support
If you cannot access the app or deletion flow, contact support through the app or Kiwi Kiwi website. We may need to verify that you control the account before processing the request.
9. Reversibility
Account deletion may be irreversible. Do not delete your account unless you are prepared to lose account access and account history.
If the app offers a grace period or cancellation window, follow the in-app instructions before that window expires. Otherwise, deletion may not be reversible once processed.
