Kiwi Kiwi Block Contacts Privacy Notice

1. What Block Contacts does
Block Contacts is an optional Search-avoidance feature. When you select a contact, Kiwi Kiwi uses supported email addresses or US phone numbers to apply Search exclusion when they match the relevant verified account-contact information.
Where the match and exclusion rules apply, you do not see that account in Search and that account does not see you in Search. The feature does not tell you whether the contact has an account, does not notify that contact, and does not guarantee that every account associated with that person will be excluded.
2. Search-only scope
Block Contacts does not automatically remove existing saves, tokens, matches, chats, reports, or other account records. It is different from reporting or blocking a known Kiwi Kiwi user. Use the known-user safety tools for unwanted interactions or suspected violations.
A contact using different or unverified details may not match. Names are display labels, not proof of identity. Do not use this feature to investigate whether someone is a member.
3. Device contacts and manual entries
The device-contact picker loads contacts locally on your device. Kiwi Kiwi does not upload your whole address book. Contact permission is used for this feature, not to create an unrelated social graph.
When you choose a particular contact, only that contact’s supported details are submitted for the selected block. A contact without supported email or US-phone information may not be usable. A manually entered contact can be treated through the same protected matching process.
4. Information processed and retained
Selected raw email/phone values are processed transiently to create protected matching information, rather than retained as raw contact values in the block list. The account can retain a private display label, masked values, protected matching records, relevant method/country/type information, timestamps, and a device-contact or manual-entry source.
An optional contact reference can help identify an already-selected card in the local picker. A contact card with several supported details may create matching entries for each supported value without uploading unrelated contacts. Obvious raw phone/email strings in a label are rejected or sanitized.
5. Unblocking and deletion
Removing a Block Contacts entry deletes that block and its related matching details for your account. It does not tell you whether an account was matched, notify the other person, or reverse a separate known-user report/block. Normal known-user blocks may not offer the same self-service reversal.
Account deletion removes the account’s Block Contacts data through its privacy cleanup. Any limited residual data must have a lawful retention basis; this is not an indefinite contact-data archive. See the Account Deletion Policy.
6. Limits and your choices
We may apply reasonable limits on contacts or matching details to protect reliability and prevent misuse. Blocking a contact is your choice; not granting address-book permission does not prevent ordinary use of Kiwi Kiwi. The feature is not a guarantee against discovery, contact through existing interactions, or a person’s use of another account.
Do not submit other people’s information for harassment or unlawful investigation. The Privacy Policy and Privacy Rights and Data Requests explain processing and applicable rights, including requests involving information supplied by someone else.
